Star Health Assure
As part of the Star Health Assure Plan, hospitalisation expenses as well as pre and post-hospitalisation expenses are covered. Pre-hospitalisation expenses are covered for 60 days before hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation expenses are covered for 180 days after discharge, both up to the sum insured. Additionally, the plan covers all day care treatments, domiciliary treatments (except for 14 illnesses), inpatient organ donor expenses, and modern treatments up to the sum insured. Furthermore, consumables are covered up to the sum insured as well. The Star Health Assure Plan comes with a room rent limit; you can choose any room except suites and above. But the good news is that it doesn’t levy any ICU rent limits. Common treatments/surgeries like cataract treatments, joint replacement surgeries, etc. don’t come with any sub-limits and are covered up to the sum insured. The Star Health Assure Plan also imposes a copay of 10% if your age at the time of entry is 61 years or above and comes with optional deductibles of Rs 50,000/Rs 1,00,000. The plan has a waiting period of 36 months for pre-existing diseases and a waiting period of 24 months for specific diseases.

As part of the Reliance General Health Infinity Plan, hospitalisation expenses and pre and post-hospitalisation expenses are covered. Pre-hospitalisation expenses are covered for 90 days before hospitalisation, and post-hospitalisation expenses are covered for 180 days after discharge - up to the sum insured. Additionally, the plan covers all day care treatments, domiciliary treatments, organ donor expenses related to harvesting the organ, and modern treatments up to the sum insured. Expenses associated with the consumables are covered up to the sum insured – if you opt for an add-on. The Reliance General Health Infinity Plan gives you the freedom to choose any room as per your preference without imposing any limits. Further, it has no ICU rent limit and sub-limits on common treatments/surgeries like cataract treatment, joint replacement surgery, etc. However, the plan does come with an optional copay of 10% and optional deductibles of Rs 10,000/Rs 25,000/Rs 50,000/Rs 1,00,000. The Reliance General Health Infinity Plan has a waiting period of 12 months for pre-existing diseases as well as specific diseases - if you opt for an add-on.
