Star Health Comprehensive
As part of the Star Health Comprehensive Plan, hospitalisation expenses as well as pre and post-hospitalisation expenses are covered. Pre-hospitalisation expenses are covered for 60 days before hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation expenses are covered for 90 days after discharge, both up to the sum insured. Additionally, the plan covers all day care treatments, domiciliary treatments (except for 13 illnesses), and inpatient organ donor expenses up to the sum insured. Furthermore, modern treatments and consumables are covered up to the sum insured, if you opt for add-ons. The Star Health Comprehensive Plan comes with a room rent limit; you can choose any room except suites and above if you opt for an add-on. But the good news is that it doesn’t levy any ICU rent limits. Common treatments/surgeries like cataract treatments, joint replacement surgeries, etc. don’t come with any sub-limits and the plan doesn’t impose any copay. The Star Health Comprehensive Plan comes with optional deductibles of Rs 25,000/Rs 50,000/Rs 1,00,000. The plan has a waiting period of 36 months for pre-existing diseases and a waiting period of 24 months for specific diseases.

There's a 36-month waiting period for pre-existing conditions and a 24-month waiting period for specific diseases.
